It was another lifetime for Moore when he earned his All-Star berth with the Tampa Bay Rays. He was in his second full season in the majors, as a fresh-faced 24-year-old in 2013 when he posted a 17-4 record with the Rays, with a 3.29 ERA while limiting batters to a .216 average. He even finished top-10 in Cy Young voting.
But injuries and performance have limited Moore ever since, as he's bounced around the majors to seven other teams, and is now, at the age of 35, limited to relief work. He's pitched with the Los Angeles Angels, Tampa Bay Rays, San Francisco Giants, Detroit Tigers, Philadelphia Phillies, Miami Marlins and Cleveland Guardians.
Last season, with the Angels, he posted a 5.03 ERA in 48 innings. His strikeouts took a significant dip, down to 7.6 per nine innings, down from over 10 K/9 the previous two seasons, which were split amongst four different teams.
His last productive season was in 2023, when he was 5-1 with a 2.56 ERA with the Angels, Guardians and Marlins. He had a 60:15 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 52.2 innings.
Moore has a career 4.39 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP with 8.3 K/9.
