Kike Hernandez Signs Free Agent Deal With Very Familar Team

11-year veteran utilityman Kike Hernandez has decided on his 2025 destination, and to no one's surprise, he's back with the Los Angeles Dodgers, looking for a third World Series ring in Dodger Blue.

Hernandez spent six years in LA at the end of the previous decade, culminating in a championship in 2020. He left to sign with the Boston Red Sox where he spent 2 1/2 seasons, before winding up back in his familiar place with the Dodgers midway through 2023.

Last year in LA, he played every single position on the diamond except catcher and right field (yes, he even pitched four times), providing his usual super-utility role. He launched 12 homers, and was once again clutch in the postseason, batting .294 with a couple of key home runs and an .808 OPS. He has an .874 OPS with 15 HR in 86 career playoff games.

Kike himself revealed the news of his return to Dodger Stadium with this post on social media.

And Dodger fans are loving it:

It's been as satisfying an offseason for the Dodgers as possible, as they go for a repeat in 2025.
