Boston Red Sox Announce New Jerseys For 2025 Season

The Boston Red Sox have tweaked their City Connect uniforms, unveiling a bold green design for the 2025 season.

This fresh look replaces the blue alternates introduced in 2023 and taps into Boston’s rich culture and iconic landmarks.

The shade of green could be a nod to Fenway’s legendary Green Monster or even the city’s Green Line subway. “We’re excited to introduce something that feels uniquely Boston,” said Adam Grossman, the Red Sox’s chief marketing officer.

This isn’t the Sox’s first time stepping outside their traditional colors. Their yellow and blue City Connect jerseys, inspired by the Boston Marathon, became instant classics after debuting in 2021.

Instead of phasing them out, the team is keeping those jerseys in the rotation along with their home whites, road grays, and red alternates.

“Given the popularity of our yellow uniforms with our players and fans, we’ve decided to make them a core part of our lineup,” Grossman added.

Fans of the team will remember the Sox wearing green for special occasions in the past, like St. Patrick’s Day spring training games or a 2007 tribute to Boston Celtics legend Red Auerbach.

Now, green gets its own spot in the team’s wardrobe for the first time. With the season just around the corner, it will be interesting to see this new look in action.

Whether it’s a salute to the Green Monster, the Emerald Necklace, or something entirely new, the Sox are mixing tradition with a fresh twist.
