SIGNED: Nathan Eovaldi Agrees to 3-Year Free Agent Deal

Two-time World Series champion Nathan Eovaldi has chosen his next destination in free agency. And it’s a familiar one. He has agreed to re-sign with the Texas Rangers on a three-year, $75 million deal.

Eovaldi was one of the top mid-tier free agent pitchers, after declining a $20 million player option for 2025 following a strong two seasons in the Lone Star State. He went a combined 24-13 in Texas with a 3.72 ERA, while helping the Rangers to the 2023 World Series championship. He also owns a World Series ring from 2018 with the Boston Red Sox.

The 34 year-old is about as consistent as they come, with five straight seasons of an ERA under 4.00, while striking out right around nine batters per nine innings.

According to insider Ken Rosenthal, the Rangers had also been in on trying to land top-tier free agent starter Max Fried, before he went to the Yankees on an over-the-top eight year deal.
