Insider Names Top 4 Fits for Teoscar Hernandez

Teoscar Hernandez got himself a World Series ring with a tremendous playoff run with the LA Dodgers, driving in 12 runs in 16 games and launching three homers after following up a career-best 33 home run season.

Now, as a free agent for the second consecutive year, he has a chance to cash in, and do it with the team of his choosing.

Baseball insider Jeff Passan has named the four teams that are most likely to land Hernandez and even suggests that he will be one of the first big names off the free agent board.

LA Dodgers

Ok, so this one is obvious. Passan calls the Dodgers the favorites. Teo loved his time there (why wouldn't he?), and had a tremendous year while winning a championship. The Dodgers will want him back.

Boston Red Sox

Now we go to three teams in the AL East who are vying for his services (though none of them his alma mater, the Toronto Blue Jays). The BoSox are looking for a boost for their offense, and Hernandez would have a great time pounding plenty of balls off and over the Green Monster at Fenway (not to mention crushing the hearts of his former fans in Toronto a number of times in intra-divisional games).

Baltimore Orioles

The O's are likely set to lose their longtime right fielder and power hitter of their own, Anthony Santander, to free agency. Hernandez would be a great replacement. Teo had a slightly higher OPS and OPS+.

New York Yankees

The Bronx Bombers would only enter the equation if they somehow lose out on bringing back Juan Soto. The only problem for them is that Hernandez might already be signed with one of the aforementioned clubs by the time the Yanks know about Soto's intentions.
