MLB Trade Rumors: Gleyber Torres' Free Agent Landing Spot Predicted
After a disappointing regular season with the New York Yankees, where he hit just 15 home runs—the lowest since 2021—and struck out 136 times, Torres appears poised for a fresh start.
Erik Beaston of Bleacher Report has predicted that the San Francisco Giants could be a prime landing spot for Torres, given their need for middle infield help and his offensive potential.
"The Giants need a second baseman and could always use the spark of offense that Torres provides when he is 'on,'" Beaston writes, suggesting that a change of scenery could benefit both sides.

Despite his struggles in 2024, including a career-high 18 errors and a dip in power, Torres’ talent remains undeniable.
Beaston notes that the Giants could acquire him at a lower price than in previous years, making it a "mutually beneficial pairing, at least on paper."
San Francisco's need for offensive depth and reliable infield defense aligns with Torres' desire for a fresh start, making the move a logical fit as both the player and the club look to rebound in 2025.
