MLB Trade Rumors: Devin Williams To The Dodgers?
Williams, a two-time NL Reliever of the Year, is under team control through the 2025 season, but the Brewers may be motivated to move him to avoid losing him in free agency for only draft compensation.
Having already traded ace Corbin Burnes, Milwaukee might consider a similar path with Williams, whose dominant 1.25 ERA and 0.97 WHIP in 2024 reaffirmed his status as one of the league's top relievers.

The Dodgers, always looking to enhance their roster, have been mentioned as a prime landing spot for Williams.
With injuries sidelining key starters like Shohei Ohtani, Tyler Glasnow, and Tony Gonsolin during the 2024 season, Los Angeles may look to bolster its bullpen to alleviate pressure on their rotation.
"If the Dodgers enter the 2025 season with Williams as their closer, they'll unquestionably be World Series favorites," noted Tim Kelly of Bleacher Report.
Williams would provide the Dodgers with an elite back-end arm to pair with their returning stars, offering stability in high-leverage situations.

For the Brewers, trading Williams could net a significant prospect haul, similar to the returns they received for Burnes and former closer Josh Hader.
With shortstop Willy Adames likely to leave in free agency, Milwaukee might choose to maximize Williams’ value while they can.
