MLB Rumors: 3 Teams Linked To Marcus Stroman This Offseason
After being left off the New York Yankees' ALDS roster after a season in which he posted a 4.31 ERA across 154.2 innings, Stroman's future in New York appears uncertain.
With just one year left on his contract and a vesting option for 2026 based on innings pitched, Stroman could be moved as the Yankees look to reshape their roster.

For the Arizona Diamondbacks, who narrowly missed the postseason, Stroman represents a decent addition to a rotation that ranked 27th in ERA in 2024.
Beyond Zac Gallen and Merrill Kelly, the D-backs struggled with consistency on the mound, and Lampert notes that Stroman’s ability to "eat innings" and make at least 25 starts in seven of the last eight seasons would provide the stability Arizona desperately needs.
His track record of durability could help shore up a rotation that saw underwhelming performances from key arms like Jordan Montgomery.

Meanwhile, both the Baltimore Orioles and Atlanta Braves are expected to be in the market for rotation help, with each facing potential losses of key starters.
The Orioles could lose ace Corbin Burnes to free agency, and with John Means still recovering from Tommy John surgery, Stroman's consistency makes him a sensible fit.
Similarly, the Braves face uncertainty with Max Fried and Charlie Morton potentially departing, and Stroman's reliability and postseason experience make him an appealing option to stabilize Atlanta’s staff as they retool for 2025.
