Dodgers Admit That 2 Starting Pitchers Are Likely Done for the Season

The brutal news for the Los Angeles Dodgers rotation just continues to overwhelm the team's starting staff. The 'setback' that Tyler Glasnow suffered this week has now been revealed to most likely have ended his season.

Manager Dave Roberts says MRI scans revealed a sprained elbow for Glasnow, and that it is "highly unlikely" that the flame-throwing starter returns this season.

And as if that wasn't bad enough, Roberts also tells us that Clayton Kershaw, who is also out due to injury, will also likely be out for the rest of the regular season.

Only a few days ago, Roberts said they were "hopeful" that Kershaw, who was in a walking boot earlier this month, would manage to make one or two more starts before the regular season was out. He also revealed that there's more going on than just the bone spur in Kershaw's left big toe. "It's also not just a spur, there's some, I don't know if it's tendons or ligaments. There's other things going on that I don't think it's even close to similar."

That leaves the LA rotation for at least the balance of the regular season at deadline acquisition Jack Flaherty, the just-returned-from-several-months-absence Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and... the currently injured Gavin Stone (who IS expected to return).

As for the postseason... Who else? Who knows... Bobby Miller and his 8.17 ERA?
