Breaking: Braves Bring Back 2021 Playoff Hero
It was only a matter of time, it seemed. After superstar Ronald Acuna Jr. was lost for the season last month, just like in 2021, the Braves have needed to fill an outfield void once again. Now, just like in '21, they've brought in Eddie Rosario, signing him to a minor league contract.

Rosario will report to the Braves Triple-A team in Gwinnett immediately. The 32-year-old veteran was designated for assignment just two days ago by the Washington Nationals. Braves GM Alex Anthopoulos has likely been waiting patiently four that eventuality and was ready to pounce.
Rosario was a tremendous add for the Braves in '21, when he batted a ridiculous .560 with a 1.670 OPS in the NLCS to win MVP honors and help propel Atlanta to the World Series title.
He stayed with the team through 2023 and hit 33 home runs with 114 RBIs and a .721 OPS in 255 games in Atlanta.
Rosario had struggled with the Nats in 2024, hitting just .183 with a .555 OPS and seven home runs. He was cut loose when they called up top prospect James Wood.
But Rosario will be hoping to re-enact his 2021 performance as he joins the Braves organization once again.
