BREAKING: Amed Rosario Returns To Former Team In Trade

They couldn't live without him.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have reacquired infielder Amed Rosario from the Tampa Bay Rays, as reported by Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

This marks the second consecutive year the Dodgers have traded for Rosario at the deadline, having previously obtained him from the Cleveland Guardians in exchange for Noah Syndergaard.

To secure Rosario this time, the Dodgers sent minor league right-handed pitcher Michael Flynn to the Rays.

Rosario has had an impressive season with the Rays, slashing .307/.331/.417 with two home runs, 26 RBIs, nine stolen bases, and 22 runs scored over 76 games.

His versatility, having played second base, third base, shortstop, and right field, makes him a valuable addition to the Dodgers' roster.

This acquisition adds much-needed depth and flexibility to their infield, especially with the uncertainty surrounding Max Muncy's injury.

To create roster space for Rosario, the Dodgers have designated Ryan Yarbrough for assignment.

The Dodgers have been among the most active teams ahead of the trade deadline, making moves to bolster their lineup for a strong playoff push.

Earlier on Monday, they acquired utility man Tommy Edman from the St. Louis Cardinals and right-handed pitcher Michael Kopech from the Chicago White Sox.
