Trade: A's, Brewers Pull Off Deal
The Milwaukee Brewers continue to make moves as the offseason gains some steam. After trading outfielder Mark Canha to Detroit Tigers, and acquiring second baseman Oliver Dunn from the Philadelphia Phillies, the Brew Crew have now struck a deal with the Oakland A's, sending five-year veteran Abraham Toro out West.

The Brewers, in return, receive minor league pitcher Chad Patrick.
He's a former 4th-round pick of the Arizona Diamondbacks who has compiled a 4.96 ERA in 36 minor league starts.

Sits 92, remarkably consistent slider/cutter command, depth starter fit.

The reports on the right-hander say he sits at 92 mph on his fastball, with consistent command of his slider/cutter.
Toro was a decent prospect in the Houston Astros system, before he was sent to the Seattle Mariners in a 2021 trade. Able to play first, second and third, the 26-year-old hasn't been able to break through with any impact in the majors, compiling a .211 average and .636 OPS in 271 games.
The switch-hitter had an impressive nine-game trial with Milwaukee this past season, however, batting .444 with two home runs in nine games. He batted .291 with eight homers in 58 RBIs in 96 games at Triple-A Nashville in 2023.
