MLB Rumors: Two Teams Becoming Favorites To Land Matt Chapman

 

The MLB free agent market is going to be a wild one this winter, with the likes of Shohei Ohtani, Cody Bellinger and now Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell headlining the class, but former Blue Jays third baseman Matt Chapman is also expected to be in high demand.

While there's been several teams linked to the veteran, it appears that two strong favourites are emerging, with the San Francisco Giants and the Toronto Blue Jays expected to be the two strongest suitors for the 30-year old veteran.

In 2023, like he has been over his career, Chapman was one of the streakiest hitters in baseball, posting a .240 average with 17 home runs and 54 RBI's, and while neither of these teams can stop at just getting Chapman, if they can land him and another top tier star, it will be a major victory for them.
