MLB Rumors: Los Angeles Dodgers Superstar Hopeful He Can Return Next Summer
The Los Angeles Dodgers were once again defeated in disappointing fashion when the playoffs rolled around in 2023, but with a superstar roster, they'll look to reload and do it all over again, with different post-season results in 2024.
While they've got plenty of money to spend on potential free agents, they've got a few of their own to deal with first, and while many expected Clayton Kershaw to announce his retirement, it appears things could be going in a very different direction.
According to insider Bob Nightengale, the veteran superstar has undergone left shoulder surgery, with the message that he is 'hopeful' for a return next summer, and after posting a 2.46 ERA through 24 starts and 131.2 innings, the 35-year old, three-time Cy Young Award winner proved he's got plenty left in the tank if a return is on the cards.Los Angeles Dodgers future Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw announces that he underwent left shoulder surgery this morning to repair ligaments and his shoulder capsule, and is "hopeful'' he can return next summer.
