MLB Officially Agrees To Move The Oakland Athletics
The Oakland Athletics have been one of baseball's premier and most interesting teams over the past 50 years, but unfortunately for those fans that have seen both the Raiders and Warriors depart, it's now the turn of the Athletics.
Despite their best efforts during the 2023 season, Major League Baseball has now approved the relocation of the franchise, with owner John Fisher intending to follow the Raiders and take the Athletics to the city of Las Vegas.
The move is set to take place in 2027, and while the attendance in Oakland wasn't great in the past few years, it's tough to see the storied franchise move out of Oakland, but it will hopefully bring with it the same excitement that both the Raiders and Golden Knights have brought to sport in Sin City.Breaking: Major League Baseball owners voted Thursday to allow the Oakland Athletics to move to Las Vegas, paving the way for baseball's second relocation in the past half-century, sources told ESPN.
