San Francisco Giants Give Rookie A Major Vote Of Confidence Ahead Of 2024
The San Francisco Giants 2023 season turned out to be quite the disappointing one for the organization, but that doesn't mean there weren't major positives ahead of 2024 and beyond, as they saw the debut of several standout rookies throughout the year.
While Kyle Harrison and Patrick Bailey are both expected to be key for this team in 2024, President of Baseball Operations Farhan Zaidi has now revealed that Marco Luciano, the teams former top prospect will now be given every opportunity to win the starting shortstop role.
That role has been occupied by Brandon Crawford since the 2011 season, but with his likely departure, the Giants have a massive hole to be filled, and if that can be done by yet another standout rookie, the future will be even brighter by the Bay."We want to give Marco Luciano a chance to be the everyday guy next year."
