Baltimore Orioles Pitcher Elects Free Agency After Impressive 2022 Season
Austin Voth, a 31-year-old right-handed pitcher, has entered free agency after being outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk when he cleared waivers following his removal from the Baltimore Orioles' 40-man roster in early September.
Voth, with 139 career appearances in the majors since 2018, including 13 starts, is now looking to secure a spot on an Opening Day roster with another team for the upcoming spring.

In the 2023 season, he posted a 5.19 ERA in 34.2 innings pitched in the major leagues.
Voth operated as a starter for the Orioles in the 2022 season, recording a strong 3.04 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, with 72 strikeouts across 83 innings and 22 appearances (17 starts).
This move offers Voth the opportunity to explore new opportunities and potentially continue his MLB career with a different organization.
Voth is a former fifth-round pick by the Washington Nationals in the 2013 MLB Draft.
