Atlanta Braves Sign 3-Year Veteran Infielder

The Atlanta Braves have recently signed infielder Alejo Lopez to a minor league contract, a move designed to enhance the team's organizational depth.

At 27 years old, Lopez brings a level of major league experience to the table, having appeared in 74 games for the Cincinnati Reds since the 2021 season.

His decision to enter free agency earlier this month, following the conclusion of the minor league season, opened up this opportunity with the Braves.

It's clear that Lopez is eager to continue his baseball journey, and with this signing, he will have a chance to vie for a spot on the Braves' opening roster in the upcoming spring while providing valuable depth within the organization.

Over his three-year career, the 27-year-old holds a .265/.309/.329 slash line, with one home run, 11 RBIs, three stolen bases, and 19 runs scored across 74 games played.

Lopez is a former 27th-round pick by the Reds in the the 2015 MLB Draft.
