Toronto Blue Jays Starter Done For The Year In A Strange Turn Of Events
The 2023 MLB season has been a wild one for Toronto Blue Jays starter Alek Manoah, as he has been demoted to the minor leagues several times following struggles, but the latest one has come with even more drama, drama that could end his 2023 season.
According to a recent report, Manoah was upset about his recent demotion, and never reported to Triple-A, and now, he hasn't even been throwing over the past month, meaning that his season is now likely over, even if the Jays make a playoff push.
This season now ends as a very disappointing one, as he ended up posting a 3-9 record with a 5.87 ERA through 87.1 innings of work, and after this latest drama, there's the potential for this to be his last season in Toronto.Alek Manoah never reported to Triple-A when he was optioned on August 11th because he was upset about the decision, per @SNJeffBlair
