Tampa Bay Rays Promote Top Prospect

 

The Tampa Bay Rays 2023 season has been a fantastic one thus far, and while they remain over a game out of the top spot in the American League East, it's becoming clear that they will now be playing in the playoffs with their stacked squad.

Now, they're adding to that group, as they are now officially calling up top infield prospect Junior Caminero, who has been tearing it up through the minor league system in 2023, yet another rising star in the Rays organization.

In 117 games this year between the AA and AAA level, he's hit a whopping .324 with 31 home runs and 94 RBI, and while calling him up at this time of year can be a major risk in the midst of a playoff race, he appears ready for the biggest stage, and could be a massive difference maker for the Rays.
