Report: Miami Marlins Starter Done For The Season
The Miami Marlins are right in the thick of the National League Wild Card race in 2023, and while there's many reasons to thank for that, one of the biggest has been their starting pitching, which has consistently been among the best in the NL this year.
Unfortunately, they've now suffered a major blow on the verge of the playoffs, as veteran right hander Sandy Alcantara will not pitch again this season due to the forearm tightness he felt during his recent rehab stint.
Still, this is a team that's posted a 4.18 ERA as a team over the 2023 season, and if they can continue scoring runs at a solid rate, there's no reason that they can't cause a major upset in the playoffs and go on a deep run without Alcantara.Sandy Alcántara will not pitch again this season after experiencing forearm tightness in his rehab start last night, per @CraigMish pic.twitter.com/7nOn8GY7Kh
