MLB Rumors: New York Mets Star Now Expected To Stay In 2024

 

Over the past few weeks, rumours have been floating around that the New York Mets were shopping Pete Alonso, and that it was likely he would be gone this winter via trade, but now, it appears that it isn't the case after all.

These rumours come after the Mets moved both Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander at the trade deadline, but after becoming their biggest home grown talent, it appears that Alonso will be staying in New York for the foreseeable future.

At 28-years of age, Alonso still has a bright future in the MLB, and if this team can continue building a talented squad around him, he should be a strong middle of the order presence for this team for years and years to come.
