Cincinnati Reds DFA Veteran Outfielder
The Cincinnati Reds have been one of the surprise teams of the 2023 MLB season, and it's afforded them the opportunity to land some solid veterans, but unfortunately, one of their big pickups has now been DFA'd by the team.
After picking up veteran outfielder Hunter Renfroe on the waiver wire a few weeks ago, the team have now officially DFA'd him after he hit just .128 (5 for 39) in 14 games with the team, and now, he will likely hit the free agent market once again.
In eight years at the big league level, Renfroe has hit .239 with 177 home runs and 454 RBI's, and while his 2023 season hasn't gone the way he would have hoped, he still has plenty left in the tank for the 2024 season and beyond. The Reds announced that they've DFA'd Hunter Renfroe
