"We Just Give Up": San Diego Padres Having Clubhouse Trouble
After the disappointing San Diego Padres were swept by the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday night in another disastrous loss, star Juan Soto didn't hold back on his assessment:
"Some days we [grind], some days we don’t. We gotta do it every day. Days like this series, we just give up,” Soto said, per Kevin Acee of The San Diego Tribune. “Like literally, we just give up instead of keep grinding, keep pushing. We’ve got to forget about yesterday and keep moving.”
And Baseball Insider Ken Rosenthal has heard that the Friars are having clubhouse issues.
"I'm confident there are some things going on in the clubhouse."@Ken_Rosenthal weighs in on the disappointing San Diego Padres.

"I've heard various things about that clubhouse this season... I'm confident there are some things going on in the clubhouse, I just don't know exactly what they are," said Rosenthal on the Foul Territory podcast.
The Padres are currently 4.5 games behind the Miami Marlins for the NL’s final playoff berth, with their four-game losing streak leaving them in 4th place in the NL West, at 55-60.
