Tampa Bay Rays Star Placed On IL, Done For The Season

 

The Tampa Bay Rays have been on the cusp of a World Series for a number of years now, and while their lineup continues to produce, it's the incredible pitching staff that has led the way, especially through all of their injuries in 2023.

Unfortunately, today the team confirmed the worst on superstar starter Shane McClanahan, as he was officially placed on the 60-day Injured List, ending his 2023 season as the team finally look to make a deep post-season run.

The Tampa Bay Rays have reinstated LHP Josh Fleming from the 60-Day Injured List and optioned RHP Cooper Criswell to Triple-A Durham.

To make room on the 40-Man roster, LHP Shane McClanahan has been transferred to the 60-Day Injured List.

Fortunately for Tampa Bay, this is a deep rotation, and if the team can be healthy come playoff time, they'll match up against anyone in the American League, and with a bright future ahead of him, McClanahan will no doubt be back and better than ever.
