San Francisco Giants DFA Veteran Infielder
Yesterday, the San Francisco Giants announced the pickup of long-time Cardinals infielder Paul DeJong, and with that came a respective roster move today, as they have officially designated for assignment a veteran infielder they recently acquired.
In order to make room for DeJong, the team have DFA'd Johan Camargo, a veteran infielder that they had only recently signed, but after injuries to the infield and struggles from Camargo, this is certainly a move that makes sense for a struggling team.
In just 8 games with San Francisco this year, the 29-year old veteran was solid, but after the team fell out of the Wild Card race last night, replacing him with DeJong has to be seen as a major upgrade, but his promising performances this year no doubt still make him major league material.#SFGiants Roster Moves
