Cincinnati Reds Option Former Top Pick Back To Triple-A
The Cincinnati Reds have been fantastic in 2023 on the back of breakout years from rookies Elly De La Cruz and Matt McClain, while Joey Votto has a bounce back season, but unfortunately, not all of their home grown players have seen this type of success.
After being taken No. 3 overall back in 2016, Nick Senzel has failed to fire at the MLB level since his debut back in 2019, and after putting together a batting average of just .219 this season, it's safe to say the team could be ready to move on.
At 28-years of age, there's not much time left for him to make an impact with Cincinnati, and with 353 games under his belt in Cincinnati, he just hasn't proven he can be a difference maker, so keep an eye on this situation going forward. The #Reds today announced the following transactions. pic.twitter.com/pHv7yenSpd
