Chicago White Sox Land Former Top-10 Pick
The Chicago White Sox 2023 season didn't quite go as planned, but with so much young talent on the team and more coming in at the trade deadline, it's safe to say that their future is very bright in a winnable AL Central division.
On Monday, they officially added to that young talent pool, as they secured former top-10 pick of the Pittsburgh Pirates Travis Swaggerty on a minor-league deal after he failed to fire as a member of the Pirates in his MLB career.
Since being drafted in 2018, Swaggerty has played in 314 games at the minor league level, putting together a .250 batting average with 27 home runs and 127 RBI's, and at 25-years old he has plenty of time to develop, so Chicago may have got themselves a good piece for the future. The Chicago White Sox have signed Travis Swaggerty to a minor league contract.
