Report: San Francisco Giants To Promote Top Position Player Prospect
The San Francisco Giants have been in a rough patch as of late, and after picking up a big win on Tuesday against the Oakland Athletics, they're now promoting another top prospect to help them with their 2023 playoff push.
That will come in the form of shortstop Marco Luciano, who has long been seen as the Giants replacement for franchise legend Brandon Crawford, and after a hot six game stretch with the Triple-A Sacramento River Cats, it's a well deserved promotion.
In 62-games in the minor leagues this year, the Giants No. 2 prospect (No. 15 in baseball) has hit .235 with 13 home runs and 35 RBI, and with elite play defensively, it appears the team believe he can make a big impact immediately upon arrival on Wednesday. After another quiet night for the lineup, the Giants are planning to call up Marco Luciano, per sources: https://t.co/GdGFtqg13Q
