Report: Oakland Athletics To Promote Two Of Their Top Prospects

The Oakland Athletics season has been absolute chaos to this point, as they have been one of the worst teams in baseball, while going on an incredibly hot-streak in the midst of that, all while dealing with the ownership debacle and the potential of uprooting this team and its history to Las Vegas.

They'll start the second half of the year looking towards the future, with two top prospects getting the call up on Friday as the team face the Minnesota Twins, as their competitiveness in the playoff race died out a long time ago.

First up we have their No. 1 overall prospect Tyler Soderstrom, who has hit .254 with 20 home runs and 59 RBI in Triple-A thus far in 2023, and then there is No. 3 overall prospect Zack Gelof, who is hitting .304 with 12 home runs and 44 RBI in 2023. They may not help to make Oakland competitive right now, but this team needs some hope, so this is the perfect way to start the second half of the season.
