Report: Miami Marlins Reinstate Veteran Starter
The Miami Marlins have been off to a very hot start in 2023, and find themselves right in the thick of the National League Wild Card race, and now as we take a break for the All-Star Game, the Marlins have reinstated a veteran arm.
That would be Johnny Cueto, who has been reinstated off the 60-day Injured List following his first start of the season, and now while it appears the rotation is set, it's never a bad option to have a veteran handy who has thrown almost 2,200 innings in his career.
After throwing 158.1 innings a year ago in Chicago, Cueto has shown that even at 37-years old, when healthy he can be very effective, and no matter what way he's used by the Marlins, he will be an effective piece of their playoff push.
