MLB Rumors: Toronto Blue Jays Linked To Superstar Starter
The Toronto Blue Jays are locked in the best division race in baseball this season, currently sitting in third place in the AL East with a Wild Card spot locked in, but given the superstar roster they've put together, it wouldn't surprise anyone if they went all-in to chase a World Series title in 2023.
With a lineup led by Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette, Matt Chapman, George Springer and others, it appears the rotation is their area of interest regarding an upgrade at the trade deadline, as the team are now "showing strong interest" in Chicago Cubs star and former Blue Jay Marcus Stroman.
In 20 starts this year, Stroman has put together a 10-6 record with a 2.88 ERA, and with the struggles of Alek Manoah this season, Stroman slotting in behind Kevin Gausman alongside Jose Berrios would make this one of the most dangerous rotations heading into the playoffs. The Blue Jays are "showing strong interest" in Marcus Stroman, per @ChiSportUpdates pic.twitter.com/Fw0uj16L9u
