MLB Rumors: Texas Rangers Targeting St. Louis Cardinals Reliever

 

The Texas Rangers have been one of baseball's best teams through the first half of 2023, and in a division with the talented Astros and Angels, they need to be active at the deadline, and now at least one of their major targets has been revealed.

According to Bob Nightengale, the Rangers are 'aggressively pursuing' Cardinals reliever Jordan Hicks, and while he's not been at his best in 2023, there's no doubting he can be a difference maker out of the bullpen.

With a solid rotation and one of the best lineups in baseball, the addition of Hicks could help this Rangers team in a big way, and if they get it done, they'll be a tough team to beat down the stretch when playoff time arrives.
