MLB Rumors: AL East Contender Linked To St. Louis Cardinals Outfielder
The New York Yankees, despite their struggles as of late still find themselves well within striking distance of a playoff berth in 2023, and as the trade deadline approaches, they will likely be very active in filling out this roster with top tier talent.
Like every year, New York have been linked to the top stars like Shohei Ohtani and Juan Soto, but if the fans want a realistic trade target, it may have just materialized in the form of St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Dylan Carlson, who they've now officially been linked too.
Carlson would be a solid addition for New York as Tyler O'Neill will reportedly take over in left field for St. Louis, and with no hopes of the playoffs, trading him makes sense. For New York, they would get a switch hitter who is batting .231 on the year with 5 home runs and 21 RBI, and while that may not sound impressive, he could definitely fix their hole in left field and become a valuable member of their starting lineup.Dylan Carlson has become a potential Yankees trade target, per @Feinsand pic.twitter.com/QyTLuTftXL
