Breaking: Toronto Blue Jays To Recall Former Ace
The Toronto Blue Jays have been off to another great start in 2023, and while they sit behind the Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays in the stacked AL East, they've got the chance to fight back into a playoff spot.
Tuesday's news could either be a great help or a hinderance to that goal, as they will officially recall former ace Alek Manoah after he was sent down to the minor leagues earlier this season following a disastrous start to the 2023 campaign.
Manoah is scheduled to make his MLB return on Friday, and after posting a horrific 1-7 record, 6.36 ERA and 1.90 WHIP, while walking 42 hitters in 58 innings, Manoah has steadied himself in the minor leagues, and will now look to get back to the form that made him a Cy Young finalist a season ago.Alek Manoah will start Friday for the Blue Jays, per @ShiDavidi pic.twitter.com/fuzbhi51IA
