Unfortunate Injury Update On San Francisco Giants Power Hitter
The San Francisco Giants started 2023 slow, but have since rebounded and been one of the hottest teams in baseball over the past six weeks, but now, they're dealing with what could be a very costly injury, even if it allowed them to promote one of their hottest young prospects.
The injury in question was suffered by power hitting outfielder Mitch Haniger, and now, he's undergone surgery for his fractured forearm, and will now be out of action for up to 10 weeks, meaning that the Giants are going to need to stay above water in the NL Wild Card race until early September without him.
In his place, the team will rely on Blake Sabol, Luis Matos, Austin Slater and other young names to provide this team spark and power each and every night, and if the team is in a playoff position upon his return, this could be a squad to watch come post-season time.Mitch Haniger has left the game after being hit on the arm by a pitch pic.twitter.com/gaWsuns2Ze
