MLB Rumors: New York Yankees Star Uncertain About His Future Beyond 2023
The New York Yankees have been off to a strange start to the 2023 MLB season, and their inconsistencies have no doubt been exaggerated by their injury situation, with veteran Josh Donaldson being a massive absence for this team as they fight through a very tough American League East.
The 13 year veteran has struggled to hit for average in the 17 games he has played, with a .151 average along with 6 home runs and just 8 RBI's, and at 37-years of age, it's clear that his career is winding down, with the end possibly on the horizon.
2023 is the final year of his guaranteed deal that he signed with the Twins back in 2020, and now, he has admitted he is uncertain about his future beyond this season, and after a career that spanned 13 years with 272 home runs and 698 RBI's, it's safe to say that he's had a great run, but with his struggles lately, hanging the cleats up may be the best option.
