Los Angeles Dodgers Place Former Promising Pitcher On Waivers
The Los Angeles Dodgers have made the decision to designate right-handed pitcher Andre Jackson for assignment.
Jackson, who has spent his entire career in the Dodgers organization, has had an inconsistent presence on the active roster in recent years.

While he has shown promise with a respectable strikeout-to-walk ratio, concerns have arisen due to his struggles with home runs and issuing walks.
However, his intriguing raw talent and high-velocity fastball make him a potential target for other teams via trade or waivers.
Over his first two seasons in the majors, the 27-year-old posted a strong 2.11 ERA, and 19 strikeouts across 21.1 innings and seven appearances.

However, this season he's really dropped off, recording an ugly 6.62 ERA over 17.2 innings of work.
It's worth noting that Jackson is currently in his final minor league option season, providing added flexibility for any team interested in acquiring him.
