Kansas City Royals Land MLB Veteran Infielder

The Kansas City Royals are currently the worst team in all of baseball as they continue their long rebuild, but on Friday, that didn't stop them from officially landing an MLB veteran that hasn't played in the big leagues since way back in 2020.

That player would be Adeiny Hechavarría, who was once an every day player with the Miami Marlins, tallying over 1000 games played in nine MLB seasons, and after failing to make the Braves roster out of spring training, he's now back with a major league club and has been assigned to AAA effective immediately.

While he won't be helping the Royals to a playoff spot, Hechavarría is one of the most electric gloves in all of baseball, and after hitting .298 with seven home runs in 38 games in the Atlantic League, he's now back and one step away from the big leagues for the first time in over two years.
