Detroit Tigers Place Pitcher With 2.57 ERA On Waivers
In recent news, the Detroit Tigers have decided to designate right-handed pitcher Braden Bristo for assignment, as well as pitcher Seth Elledge.
Bristo, a 28-year-old pitcher, has had a commendable performance this season, showcasing a solid 2.57 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and a 5/4 K/BB ratio across seven innings pitched.

His contributions were split between his time with the Tampa Bay Rays and the Tigers.
However, in the minors this season Bristo has really struggled, posting an 8.44 ERA over 26.2 innings of work.
Despite his strong performance in the majors, Bristo now finds himself in a position where he may be claimed off waivers by another team.

If he goes unclaimed, it is likely that he will be assigned to the Tigers' Triple-A affiliate, the Toledo Mud Hens.
For his minor-league career, Bristo holds a decent 3.95 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and 356 strikeouts over 296 innings of work. Photo Credit: Junfu Han / USA TODAY NETWORK
