Baltimore Orioles To Promote A Top Infield Prospect
The Baltimore Orioles have been absolutely rolling in 2023, and they've managed to do so while still injecting plenty of youth into their roster, and on Monday, there's more top talent on the way, as the team are promoting yet another promising prospect.
The team are now officially promoting Jordan Westburg, and the Orioles number No. 3 overall prospect will be making his debut on Monday after an incredible start to the Triple-A season as Baltimore look to keep pace with the Rays in the AL East.
In AAA this year, Westburg has been red-hot, hitting .295 with 18 bombs and 54 RBI's, this following a 27 home run, 106 RBI season last year, and if he can bring the power bat to this lineup along with his solid defensive abilities, the Orioles may have another young star on their hands.The Baltimore Orioles are calling up top infield prospect Jordan Westburg, a source told ESPN. The 24-year-old has hit .295/.372/.567 with 18 home runs and 54 RBIs at AAA this season and is the latest in the Orioles’ parade of prospects to arrive. He’ll be in the lineup tomorrow.
