Video: Randy Arozarena Beaned By Yankees—Twice—After HR Celebration

The Tampa Bay Rays have something that the New York Yankees feel belongs to them: ownership of the American League East. The Rays are dominating the field thus far, with a 26-6 record, a full 9.0 games up on the last-place Yankees.

So you can expect that tensions were high when the two teams met Friday night, and they only escalated after the Rays' Randy Arozarena did this:

Following that stop and pose during his home run trot, the Yankees went on to bean him not once, but twice in his following two at-bats, and Arozarena and the Rays were not happy. Rays manager Kevin Cash had some choice words for both the umpires and for the Yankees. Tempers flared, and Cash was ejected.

Arozarena continues his MVP-worthy pace, now with nine homers, 30 RBIs, a .328 average and a 1.015 OPS.

Luckily for baseball fans, this series resumes on Saturday.
