St. Louis Cardinals Star Heads To Injured Reserve
The St. Louis Cardinals are off to a dreadful start in 2023, as they currently own the worst record in the entire National League a month into the season, and now, the injuries have begun to pile up as the organizations chances at rebounding go from bad to worse.
The latest victim is power hitting outfielder Tyler O'Neill, who was officially placed on Injured Reserve yesterday, and with the way their offence has struggled (they've scored just 22 runs in their past 8 games), this is the absolute last thing they need.
After a combined 48 home runs over the past two seasons, O'Neill has become integral to the heart of this lineup, and while it's unlikely he will be out for a while, the team are in the midst of a seven game losing streak, and they need any possible good news they can get.INF/OF Juan Yepez has been recalled from Memphis (AAA).
