New York Yankees To Promote Pitching Prospect
The New York Yankees have been very resilient and impressive throughout the 2023 season thus far, finding themselves at 30-22 through their first 52 games, and they've done so on the back of some solid young names like Anthony Volpe, and now, they appear to be promoting another of their top-15 prospects.
This time, it will come on the mound, as the Yankees are promoting their No. 12 prospect Randy Vasquez to make the start on Friday against the San Diego Padres, another glimpse into the very bright future in New York.
Vasquez has a 1-5 record and a 4.85 ERA on the season in Triple-A, but has pitched to a 2.17 ERA in his last four starts, and with over 350 innings worth of work in the minor leagues, the team have no doubt that he's ready to contribute at the big league level. The #Yankees #12 Prospect Randy Vásquez will be making his MLB debut Friday night against the Padres, as he'll get the start, (H/T @BryanHoch).
