MLB Rumors: New York Yankees Top Prospect Could Get To The Majors In 2023
The New York Yankees, despite all of their expectations heading into the 2023 season have started off incredibly slow, and while injuries have played a big part in this, they just haven't found the consistency we come to expect from them yet.
One of the biggest positives from this season however has been the play of top prospect Anthony Volpe, and now, it appears that their next top prospect could be on the way too, as Michael Kay has reported that someone in the organization told him "don't be surprised" if outfielder Jasson Dominguez follows Volpe to the major league level this year.
The 20-year old is highly touted in New York, and despite his struggles at AA this year (.153 average in 20 games), the talent is still off the charts, and if the Yankees can't find consistent lineups due to injuries and struggles, there's a chance he finds his way up to the big leagues.A “high ranking person” in the Yankees organization told Michael Kay “don’t be surprised” if we see Jasson Dominguez in the big leagues this season pic.twitter.com/uJpbc14qZK
