MLB Rumors: New York Mets Considering A Promotion For Power Hitting Catcher

The New York Mets have been off to a sluggish start thus far in 2023, and while injuries and suspensions have no doubt played a role in that, this is a team that's struggled to see consistent performances across the board, and with June approaching, something needs to change.

Now, it has been revealed that New York have been weighing carefully a promotion for veteran catcher Gary Sanchez, who has been raking with their Triple-A affiliate over the past few weeks as a way to give this lineup some juice.

With Mark Vientos on the way, the Mets' focus now turns to Gary Sanchez:

After not finding a new home this off-season, Sanchez struggled in the minor league system for the San Francisco Giants, but has since posted a .318 batting average in New York, and now he could be used to give them a major boost.
