MLB Rumors: Longtime Reliever Looking To Make A Comeback In 2023
The MLB has seen some incredible relief pitchers over the years, and while not all of them can maintain their success, the position breeds longevity, and in recent weeks, one of the game's veteran players at the position is looking to prove that theory right as he aims for a comeback following a two year stint out of the top level of the game.
That would be former World Series Champion Pedro Strop, who last pitched in the majors back in 2021 with the Cubs, and after just six appearances since 2020, he's now made it clear on Twitter that he's ready to make a big comeback.
Over his 13-year career, Strop worked 505 innings out of the bullpen with 32 saves and an impressive 3.2 ERA, and while it's tough to see what his market would be right now, he'd be a great veteran addition for any team if he can get back to the velocity he once had.I want to come back 🔥@mlbtraderumors @MLB @MLBNetwork @mikedeportes pic.twitter.com/38FSDahq8j
