Minnesota Twins Veteran Starter Begins Rehab Assignment

The Minnesota Twins currently sit in first place in the tight American League Central, and they've done so thus far while dealing with plenty of injuries, and after some good news earlier today, they have got some more on the way.

Now, veteran starter Kenta Maeda will begin his rehab assignment early this week in Triple-A St. Paul, and with his experience, it appears he should be able to make a push to rejoin the team in the coming weeks, giving them a key starter healthy.

In four starts this year, Maeda has struggled with an 0-4 record and an ERA of 9.00, but over his seven seasons in the majors, he's racked up a solid 3.98 ERA, and if he can get healthy and get back to his best, he gives this team plenty of great depth.
