Milwaukee Brewers Place Power Bat On Injured List
The Milwaukee Brewers have been off to a great start in 2023, but like plenty of teams around the league, they've been dealing with many injuries, and on Tuesday, they've added to that list, placing power bat Jesse Winker on the 10-day Injured List.
Winker was acquired by Milwaukee last December in a trade for Kolten Wong, and was expected to give the middle of this lineup plenty more power, but after a slow start, he's now been added to the IL due to a neck strain, something that has bothered him in the past with Cincinnati.
In 39 games this year, Winker has regressed even more, hitting just .204 with 0 home runs and 13 RBI's in 127 plate appearances on the season, but if he can get healthy and get back in this lineup, he could be key to a major World Series push in 2023.OF Jesse Winker placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to May 28, with a cervical strain.
