Los Angeles Dodgers To Call Up Another Top Pitching Prospect
After placing Julio Urias on the Injured List, the Los Angeles Dodgers realized that they had an issue with health in their starting rotation, and instead of looking for an external trade, they are now bringing up their No. 2 overall prospect, Bobby Miller, according to Russell Dorsey of Stadium and Bally Sports.
The 24-year old was the No. 29 overall pick for the Dodgers back in the 2020 draft, and after having a strange start to his professional career due to the pandemic, Miller hit the ground running in High-A ball, posting a 1.91 ERA, forcing the Dodgers to take him seriously as a top prospect.
Since that point, he's been a mixed bag in Double-A and Triple-A, but despite that, he's still seen as a massive upside piece for the future of this organization, and now he'll have a chance to prove it on Tuesday as he will go head-to-head with one of the games best in Spencer Strider and the Atlanta Braves. The Dodgers are calling up their top prospect, Bobby Miller, to start Tuesday vs. Spencer Strider and the Braves (via @Russ_Dorsey1) pic.twitter.com/ebijSHhjaj
